Horazio Calcagno

Local Chapter – Pacific Northwest (PNW)

Horazio is based in the Pacific Northwest (PNW) area in Redmond, WA. He was born in Montevideo, Uruguay of Italian Heritage. Due to his work and background, he is multilingual and is proficient in Spanish and Italian at the business and technical level with knowledge of Portuguese. Horazio enjoys being active indoors and outdoors for walking, jogging and swimming. Horazio is a sports fan and enjoys conversations about professional teams. He is married to his wife Rita and has 2 children Julian and Alexa. Horazio is passionate about traveling and exploring the world with his family.

Horazio has been an HACEMOS EG member since 2014, a PNW board member since 2015 as VP of Membership, VP of Operations and then President. He is now the President of the West Region and was reelected to a second term. His favorite activities with HACEMOS are leading and participating in Student Scholarship Fundraisers, High Technology Day and in local Community Events.

Horazio is highly involved in the Seattle and Eastside community by volunteering in several organizations such as HopeLink, United Way, El Centro de la Raza and Mary Queen of Peace Church. He has received the US President Volunteering Award for the past 6 years.

Horazio has been with AT&T for 23 years in several positions of responsibility in IT, NEO Product Development, Technical Program Management and in Global Connections Management. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), a Master of Business Administration (MBA), is a Stanford University Certified Project Manager (SCPM) and has several AT&T Technical Certifications in the Internet of Things (IoT); Machine Learning; Network Security; Agile Development; Radio Access Network (RAN), Technology, Network, Business, and Leadership Transformation.
