 Andy Umaña currently resides in San Francisco, California where he is an attorney in AT&T’s State Regulatory and Legislative Legal team. He specializes in navigating complex regulatory landscapes, ensuring compliance, and mitigating legal risks for various groups across AT&T.  Andy is a dedicated and experienced legal professional with a passion for advocating for diversity and inclusion.

               

Born in El Salvador and raised in Los Angeles, Andy has always been proud of his rich cultural heritage. His commitment to his roots is evident in his community involvement. He volunteers his legal expertise to Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), a nonprofit international organization devoted to the protection of unaccompanied and separated refugee immigrant children navigating the intricacies of immigration laws. A proud first-generation college and law school graduate, Andy’s journey is a testament to the power of determination and education. His advocacy for positive change will undoubtedly support HACEMOS’ mission to foster an environment where people help each other succeed professionally, personally, and in the community.  

Andy is not only a dedicated professional but also a passionate sports aficionado, outdoors enthusiast, and music lover. When not immersed in his work, he can be found cheering on his favorite sports teams, exploring nature’s beauty, or enjoying the rhythm of live music performances. Andy also enjoys learning about other cultures through their cuisine.
