Dawn Cordero

Local Chapter – Dallas

Dawn currently resides in Dallas, Texas where she is a Chief of Staff in the Vrio. A leading provider of digital entertainment services in South America and the Caribbean, with more than 10.5 million subscribers in 11 countries and more than 9,500 employees across the region. Prior to this, Dawn spent numerous years supporting the Global Command Center. Through her 20 years tenure at AT&T, she has managed internal and external relationships to execute successful programs both domestic and international. Dawn has successfully completed and graduated from the following Leadership programs; Women of Color, Accelerated Development Program and Mujeres de HACE. Most recently, Dawn graduated from the Mobility Development Program and continues to serve as a mentor.
 
Before joining AT&T Dawn served in the United States Army as a Cargo Specialist where her primary responsibility was supervising the transfer of passengers, cargo, and equipment to and from air, land and water transport by manual and mechanical methods. Born in Washington State, Dawn and her husband Vidal recently moved to Texas in 2018 and are proud parents of four children and two grandchildren. Both Dawn and her husband Vidal are active soccer parents and enjoy a wide range of family activities.
 
Dawn is the National President of HACEMOS and is also a member of AT&T Veterans, Women of AT&T and several other ERGs. A frequent panelist at conferences on Employee Resource Groups and a community champion Dawn has won several awards including The Washington State Governor’s Volunteer Service Award. Dawn has served on the United Way of Snohomish County Board of Directors where she is was very active for over six years in the Free Tax Assistance program. She currently serves on the Wilkinson Center Board of Directors whose mission is to transform the lives of Dallas families by providing pathways to self-sufficiency with dignity and respect.
